Things to do tonight

I need to sign up to Photoshop Express when I get home tonight, upload some photos and have a play around with them. I only have MS Paint at the moment on my PC, I used to have GIMP but the different floating windows confused me. That and m hubby kept deleting it off the PC because he thought it was something else. I used to have a trial version of Paint Shop Pro, which is my all-time favourate image editing software. If I set the clock on my PC back to May 2003, I could use it as much as I wanted to - I kept forgetting to put the clock right again though. Oh, I also need to check out the ad network and see what I can come up with there. Oh bum. Just checked it and they are no longer taking new applicants. Ah Well.

Oh, I created a Flickr account last night, and added some various random photos.

Television - the conversation killer

The new series of the Gadget Show starts on Monday night on five. I enter the competition every week, but haven't won anything so far. The only problem with this show is that I want everything they show!!

The second series of Skins is nearly finished. I think there are only 9 episodes, that's how many there were in Series 1, but there are more people in it now, so we could see a few more. The one shown on Monday was Episode 7 - Effy, so that means there are only 2 left! Oh No! And Sid and Cassie are leaving after this series too!

Series five of Nip/Tuck started the other week on FX, not a channel I watch very often. The first episode was a bit slow, maybe because it focused on Sean and Christian and not the rest of the family. I've recorded the rest, and just need to find the time to watch them now.

Misty, Cassie and Izzy

Introducing Misty, Cassie and Izzy (left to right).

Misty lives with my mother in law, she was just visiting when this photo was taken. You can see hubby's arm!

So what's it all about then?

Inspired by this site and this site this blog will be a collection of interesting stuff, things I want to make (ie bake/knit/sew) and general ramblings.

There will be photos of my many (failed) attempts at cooking and baking, for example, my brownies came out the oven with the appearance and texture of a sponge cake, and the fairy cakes I made were so hard even Izzy wouldn't eat them, and they had chocolate chips in them! Luckily there are no photos of these disasters.

There will be links to pages that I like and want to remember. I found a recipe for cupcakes with a strawberry baked in the middle of them, but neglected to record the location of said cupcakes and I fear they may be lost forever (or I could Google it).

There will be photos of my dogs, and possibly my husband, he is rather camera shy though so I won't be holding by breath.

While in the shower this evening, I wondered to myself, do you make liquorice or do you grow it?
